Management Course
Prerequisite:
Students are expected to have extensive experience in the
following core quality engineering methodologies: quality
engineering statistics, acceptance sampling, statistical
process control, measurements systems analysis and gage error
studies, design of experiments, process capability analysis,
sample size calculations, and reliability engineering.
Who Should Take This Course:
This course is intended for veteran quality engineering
professionals who have not been trained in the Six Sigma DMAIC
or DMADV methods but who have extensive experience in the core
quality engineering methodologies.
Course Description:
This course is one module from our complete Lean Six
Sigma Black Belt course offering. This course teaches
students how to integrate the core quality engineering
methodologies into the Six Sigma DMAIC (Define, Measure,
Analyze, Improve, and Control) improvement process for
existing processes and the Six Sigma DMADV (Define, Measure,
Analyze, Design, Verify) process for new process development.
Course Format:
The course is taught in six four-hour sessions for a total of
24 contact hours.
